The Monterey Institute can design and teach a teacher training program for the language educators at your institution. Choose between the following two options:
Diploma in English Language, Curriculum, Assessment, and Teaching (DELCAT): A 80-hour teacher training program offered around the world and here, in Monterey, to groups of teachers. For details see the DELCAT webpage.
Custom Designed Programs: Programs specifically designed with the collaborating institution's objectives for advancing the knowledge and skills of their teachers. Each unique curriculum may include training in language pedagogy, curriculum development, language assessment, applied linguistics research, and/or the development of the participants' own English or second language skills. Click on the current program links below to view examples of such custom programs.
During the summer 2008, Monterey Institute is training teachers from:
- Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid (CAM), located in Madrid, Spain, CAM has three groups of bilingual teachers being trained in Madrid, Spain; in Monterey, California; and in Burlington, Vermont.
- Sookmyung Women's University, located in Seoul, Korea, is training elementary and secondary teachers at the Monterey Institute.
