The MATESOL and MATFL programs prepare students to take leadership roles in the areas of teaching, curriculum design, research, language assessment and teacher training. In the US, ESL teachers are in great demand in public schools and adult education programs. The need for instructors at the community college level has increased in the past few years, as has the call for instructors in business and governmental agencies.
