CLS clients choose accommodations that best fit their specific circumstances and needs. Due to the Monterey Institute’s central location in the heart of Monterey, on-campus housing is not available. Most of our clients prefer to stay at one of the many area hotels, many of which are located within walking distance of the Institute. Some clients also arrange housing through property management agencies specializing in vacation rentals while still others chose to maximize their learning experience by setting up a homestay with a local family that speaks their language of study.
Provided below is a reference list of some local hotels and motels, property management services and contact information for two local homestay providers. Hotel/motel prices listed were updated in 2006 but are subject to change depending on the season, holidays, or special events. Some hotels/motels may provide special pricing for Monterey Institute students upon request.
